Since 1993, I have counseled individuals, groups, families, and couples in diverse settings such as prisons, residential, hospitals, inpatient, and outpatient treatment. I have facilitated Employee Assistance Program, men’s, and bariatric surgery therapy groups. My private practice, Fisher Counseling, started in 2016.

I specialize in working with adults that have stress, mood disorders (depression and anxiety), relationship issues, employment, life transitions, grief and loss, and addictive behavior. I have had advanced training in grief and loss, domestic violence, addictions, and men’s issues.

I served as president of the Indiana chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association and the board president of the Indiana Problem Gambling Council. I have also served on the boards of the IU Health Domestic Violence Coalition, the Hamilton County United Way Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction State Planning Council. I have led trainings on the topics of suicide, dealing with difficult people, chemical and behavioral addictions, burn-out/stress, and letting go of emotional baggage.

I am an in-network provider for, Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Community Health Direct (ProHealth), Empathia EAP, Humana, IU Health Plans (Including the Premier Network), MBHN, SIHO, Sagamore, United Healthcare (UBH, GEHA, UMR), Workplace Options EAP, and self-pay. Please check with your insurance provider to make sure that I am a provider on your specific plan.

I am in the office by appointment only. I only see individuals age 18 and over. I do not provide couple therapy.
