Coming to therapy is never easy.

You may have to discuss topics you do not want to talk about, face fears that you want to avoid and have uncomfortable feelings that you want to escape from. You have to talk about the “bad” things in your life.

But what if you did come to therapy….. and life got better. What if your mood improved? What if your relationships with others got better? What if you were able to manage your addictive behaviors? What if you were able to make changes in your life? What if you were able to change the way you saw yourself and the world?

Would the risk of talking with a therapist be worth it?

These are the dilemmas that people face as they try to find a therapist that fits their needs. There are no 100% guarantees that life will get better with therapy. It takes work, time, and commitment to make real change in your life.

Over my 20+ years of experience I have seen the positive changes that people gain from starting the therapeutic process. Whether it is contacting me or another therapist, it is important to make that first step on the road to change.

My empathetic and direct approach to therapy is tailored to meet each client’s goals. I use humor and metaphor to engage and create a relaxed atmosphere where healing and change can begin. I believe that by developing skills and strengths, a person can gain relief from daily stressors and interpersonal struggle
